Supply, Installation & Commissioning of Medium Voltage Capacitor Bank (12kV, 5MVar) for TNB Distribution

On September 25, 2018, Universal Peak received the Letter of Intent from TNB Distribution for the installation of a 12kV, 5MVar Medium Voltage Capacitor Bank. The project required a field trial within 10 months and approval of the Standard General Procedure (SGP) for the product.

Thanks to the strong collaboration between TNB VVO, TNB Research, our UP project team, and our supplier Power Economy, we successfully secured the SGP in just 3 months—well ahead of schedule.

Following this achievement, Universal Peak was officially awarded the contract, which has since been successfully completed, marking an important milestone in supporting TNB’s distribution network efficiency and reliability.
