At the heart of Universal Peak’s success is the leadership of its Founder and Managing Director, Datuk Ir. Raj Kumar, a respected figure in Malaysia’s power and energy sector. With more than 40 years of experience, including 27 years at Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), he has played a pivotal role in shaping the industry and driving sustainable energy solutions.

Datuk Ir. Raj Kumar is not only a seasoned engineer but also a rare blend of technical and financial expertise. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (BEM), a Competent Electrical Engineer (Energy Commission Malaysia), and a Chartered Accountant (MIA). This unique combination enables him to lead with both precision and strategic vision.

An alumnus of the University of Sheffield, UK with a BEng (Hons) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, he embodies lifelong learning and forward- thinking leadership. His achievements have been recognised with awards such as the SME Entrepreneurs Business Award (SEBA) 2023 for Visionary Leadership.
