Established in 1973, ILJIN Electric is a Korean-based manufacturer which produces a full range of transmission & distribution power equipment and extra high voltage cables. Since 1994, ILJIN Electric’s Cable Division has been manufacturing, assembling and installing the Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables and accessories.
In collaboration with WW Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd, Universal Peak Sdn Bhd is the distributor of ILJIN Electric's XLPE UGC cables and accessories ranging from 132kV up to 500kV. ILJIN Electric’s 275kV XLPE cables are in the TNB Approved List.
As per IEC standard the power cable is designed and manufactured with the maximum conductor temperature is; Normal operation: 90°C. Short circuit operation: 250°C
